International Doctorate Studies
in the field of management science

THE PURPOSE OF STUDIES
The main purpose of the studies is to train highly qualified analysts and designers organization and management systems, with the Ph.D. of economic sciences in the field of management science.
DETAILED OBJECTIVES
- To improve the knowledge of the science of management.
- Introduction of methods used in research, useful in analyzing and solving complex practical problems.
- Skills acquisition to lead expert and advisory works for enterprises and institutions and also in the field of executive training.
- Skills acquisition independent scientific research allowing for the preparation and defense of the doctoral dissertation.
ORGANIZATION AND RULES OF STUDY
- The studies are an international. Participants, lecturers, supervisors may be both Polish and other nationals.
- Graduates of Polish or foreign colleges / universities with master degree can apply for International Doctorate Studies.
- The decision on admission is made by Studies Program Council.
- Study participants supervisor is Head of the International Doctoral Studies.
- Studies are organized in the part-time system.
- Study participants are obligated to participation in mandatory courses (core items) and complementary courses (additional items), completion on time of examination and credit exercises, and other activities covered by the studies program.
- Each semester is counted individually by the Head of Studies.
PROCEEDINGS OF STUDIES
- Studies last 3 years (6 semesters) and take place in the part-time system. Classes are held once a month, during the two-day sessions (Friday and Saturday), in the Institute of Organization and Management in Industry “ORGMASZ”, Warsaw, ul. Żelazna 87.
Classes on Friday 1100 - 1930, on Saturday 900 - 1530.
- In the first semester of study candidate for doctors degree is obligated to cooperate with supervisors, who may be a studies lecturer or any other researcher accepted by the Head of Studies.
- By the end of the second semester candidate for doctors degree is obligated to cooperate with promoter of the doctoral dissertation approved by the Head of Studies.
- The opening of the doctoral dissertation should be opened by the end of IV semester.
- After completion of these 4 semesters students receive postgraduate studies diploma with the title: "Management Analyst".
- After completion of 6 semesters students receive doctorate studies diploma and have the opportunity to defend their doctoral dissertation in Institute “ORGMASZ”.
As part of the doctoral dissertation defense force doctoral exams in the areas of:
- basic discipline, corresponding to the theme of the doctoral dissertation,
- additional discipline,
- modern foreign language.
In special cases, may be assigned additional exams.

- Economic policy. Theoretical and practical aspects
- The methods to carry out research
- Control of manufacturing processes
- Marketing
In addition, participants choose additional items in the proposed list.

Depending on the submitted doctoral dissertations topic a list of additional items will be gradually supplemented.
